Six Word Saturday

Grandma and Grandpa - On Their Way!

Yes, we are still alive in these parts even though we haven't checked in for quite a while. Things have been crazy to say the least. Big changes...including a divorce that was finalized this past week. More to come on that later, but suffice it to say, I am not happy about this as it is never what I wanted. I am still praying and trusting in God to fulfill the promises He has given to me. For now, we are looking forward to a fun weekend. My parents are coming down this afternoon and tonight Grandpda will babysit Benjamin while my mom and I attend 'Girl's Night Out' at church. Tomorrow we will head to church and then to my aunt's for lunch and a visit. They are going to stay over until at least Monday, which is fabulous since they will be heading south for the winter in just a few short weeks! I hope you have some fun and relaxation planned for your weekends too.
God bless you all!

  2. Awww, hun, I'm so sorry it didn't work out. Divorce is never an easy thing to go through. But I have belief that God has something better in store for you. I fought my divorce for YEARS. I knew it was coming but I did all I could to try and make it NOT happen. Then I had to face the facts that it was what was best. For me and my kids. And I found my wonderful husband and have Tristan now because of that divorce! And a happier life than I could've EVER thought I could have!

And YAY for your parents visiting! A girls' night out with your mom sounds like such fun!

I'll be praying for God to comfort you and give you peace with the divorce and change in your life. I pray his will to be revealed to you soon.

    Hugs. :)

  3. although it sounds quite cliche --- all things really do happen for a reason. It is great that your parents are coming for a visit. It truly does become a one day at a time - sometimes one minute at a time situation. Try to remember that you are never really alone in your journey - there are SO many of us that have traveled that path. I know we don't know each other, but I can be your new friend :)

  7. Trudy, I am sorry that the two of you were unable to resolve your differences. I know you wanted to work it out. However, you are a strong woman and wonderful mother. You will get through this, and life will get better. You deserve someone who will love and respect you. *hugs*

  8. So sorry to hear about the divorce. Remember you can't control other people or what they do but you can control how you react to them. Keep praying my friend. God knows the desires of your heart.
HOpe you had a nice GNO with your Mom.
    Hugs,
    MImi
